Norwegian Behind the New Serene Super Yacht
The Italian shipyard Fincantieri has delivered its first super yacht project. The Norwegian-designed yacht is 440 feet or 134 meters long.
“Serene” is the largest private yacht ever to be built in Italy, and it has become one of the 10 largest yachts in the world.
Constructor and designer of the boat is the Norwegian Espen Øino. The boat is 134 meters long and 18.5 meters wide. The stick is 5.5 meters deep. There is a total of seven decks and the yacht is equipped with a helicopter hangar and two helicopter decks. It will also have a submarine on board that will be able to dive down to 100 meters. The Serene Super Yacht also features a large pool with sea water that can accommodate both the submarine and other service vessels.
It has not been spared anything with respect to the inner corridors. There are more than 4500 square metres coverage and inside there are more than 2,700 square feet of lavish luxury. Interior designer Pascale Reymond has personally designed it all. The bridge on this particular ship is what is called a captain’s dream. The best of electronic aids to do the job as captain in a professional manner. It makes it easier and more comfortable than any other private yacht.
Cabins are well equipped with the finest materials and furniture. The public areas of the Serene Yacht is expertly lavish, and it is state of the art entertainment systems all over the ship.
“We went in with great humility in a sector which for us was completely new, and with this boat we have proved that we know how we can satisfy the wishes of the most demanding customers using the most avant-garde solutions the market can provide,” says Chief Executive Officer Giuseppe Bono in Fincantieri to the Super Yacht News.
Fincantieri is one of the world’s largest shipbuilding groups, and builds yachts, cruise ships, large ferries as well as naval vessels including submarines. The company owns a total of 10 shipyards in Italy and the United States.
